Ingredients:
L-Pyroglutamic Acid -
Is an amino acid naturally found in vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and meat. It is also normally present in large amounts in the human brain, cerebrospinal fluid, and blood. After oral administration, pyroglutamate passes into the brain through the blood-brain barriers and may help stimulate cognitive functions.
L-Glutamine -
In the brain, glutamine is a substrate for the production of both excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters (glutamate and gamma-aminobutyric acid, popularly known as GABA). Glutamine is also an important source of energy for the nervous system. If the brain is not receiving enough glucose, it compensates by increasing glutamine metabolism for energy. Glutamine users often report more energy, less fatigue and better mood.
DLPA (
DL-phenylalanine) -DLPA (D,L-phenylalanine) contains two forms of the amino acid phenylalanine. The "L" form is a natural substance found in protein-rich foods; it's believed to help elevate mood. The "D" form of phenylalanine, on the other hand, is made synthetically in a laboratory; it appears to block a nervous system enzyme that amplifies pain signals.
Phosphatidyl Choline -
Phosphatidylcholine is a major phospholipid of cell membranes and is a convenient source of choline, which is a precursor for the important neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
Phosphatidyl serine (Leci-PS) -
Phosphatidyl-serine and other phospholipids are structural components of brain neurons that can enhance cell-to-cell communication. Studies have shown the ability of supplemental phosphatidylserine to support healthy congnitive function. It may enhance healthy memory and thinking ability by facilitating neuronal communication.
DMAE (as Bitartrate) -
DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol) is a chemical naturally produced in the human brain. It is thought to be used by the body in converting the precursor choline to the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine. This is the basis for the reasoning behind the theory that supplementing with DMAE will enhance brain activity.
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine -
L-tyrosine is an amino acid that boosts certain neurotransmitters in the brain, and also converts into a thyroid hormone. L-tyrosine has been used to support stress reduction and depression.
PAK (pyridoxine alpha-ketglutarate) -
Pyridoxine-alpha-ketoglutarate is composed of pyridoxine (vitamin B-6) and alpha-ketoglutarate (a compound intricately involved in energy production). The two components of PAK work to increase energy production in the mitochondria by increasing the availability of energy substrates through the citric acid (Krebs energy) cycle. L-Glutamine and PAK are combined in a 3 to 1 ratio to provide a balance of Glutamine with the necessary quantity of biologically active enzymatic and energy substrate activators to achieve a more complete and robust utilization of its components.
Ginko Biloba Leaf (24% flavone glycosides and 6% terpene lactones 50:1 Extract) -
Ginkgo Biloba has been documented in Chinese medicine for nearly 5000 years. Both the nuts from the ginkgo biloba tree and its leaves have been used medicinally. Two main components cause Ginkgo biloba’s medicinal effects: ginkgo flavone glycosides and terpene lactones. The flavone is the main reason for Ginkgo biloba’s antioxidant qualities, and its effectiveness. Terpene lactone is associated with increased circulation and may protect nerve cells. In addition, Ginkgo Biloba appears to inhibit substances which cause platelets to clump, leading to poor blood flow in the nervous system.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid -
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) a nutrient present in every
cell of the body, essential to chemical reactions which allow the body to
produce energy. In addition to playing a crucial role in normal metabolism and
energy production, Alpha Lipoic Acid also functions as a potent antioxidant that
helps protect healthy cells from the damaging effects of free radicals. Besides
protecting membranes, mitochondria (the energy-producing structures within
cells) and cellular DNA, RLA work synergistically with vitamins C and E and
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10).
Vinpocetine -
Vinpocetine is a chemical substance synthesized from vincamine, a natural constituent found in the leaves of the Vinca minor (lesser periwinkle) plant. Popular in Europe and Japan as a memory-enhancing supplement for the past several decades, vinpocetine has recently become available as a dietary supplement in the U.S.
Normal aging may result in reduced blood flow to the
brain and a decrease in the metabolic activity of brain cells.
Vinpocetine is believed to promote healthy cognitive function by acting as a
cerebral vasodilator, meaning it enhances blood flow to the brain. Vinpocetine
works by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 1 (PDE1), while at
the same time reducing intracellular calcium levels. This allows brain blood
vessels to relax and increases the amount of blood flowing through them.
Vinpocetine also reduces the viscosity or "stickiness" of red blood cells and
platelets, allowing blood to flow more freely through narrowed vessels.
Bioperine® (Patented) -

Bioperine® is a standardized piperine extract obtained from the fruits of the Piper nigrum L. (black pepper) and/or Piper longum L. (long pepper) plants that are cultivated in the damp, nutrient-rich soil regions of south India. The delicate pepper berries are hand harvested just prior to ripening and then sun dried to assure optimum maturity and quality. The extract of piperine, developed by Sabinsa Corporation in its patented form of Bioperine®
, has been clinically tested in the United States and shown to significantly enhance the bioavailability (absorption) of supplemented nutrients through increased absorption. Bioperine® exemplifies a nutraceutical which is not only an important part of human and animal nutrition, but also has become increasingly attractive to modern pharmacologists. This is one ingredient that has been specifically designed to change the way your body looks at supplements.
